Essie, the heart, soul and founder of J-Bay Décor started the business modestly from home after a client asked her to make curtains. As an avid sewer she eagerly took up the challenge. Word started spreading, and soon her home business grew from a humble home garage to its current location in Schelde Street. Requests were soon made for upholstery, blinds and shutters, and over the years these additions were added to J-Bay Decor’s service offerings. Essie is an inspiration and one of the few successful business women in Jeffreys Bay that has made a thriving business out of need. Hands on and part of the entire process – You can always find her measuring or consulting, up on a ladder, hanging a curtain, doing a delivery or overseeing an installation. Essie has a wealth of expertise and knowledge that she has gathered through the years – This is who you want in your home.
